2-day Midrange Glaze Colour Development Workshop

Guided by a glaze mistress, and working with mid-range glazes, you will explore the magical world of colour development in this immersive hands-on 2-day specialist ceramics glaze workshop.
In this workshop Karuna will provide the fundamentals of glaze testing and colour development while sharing her expertise and providing practical tips, tricks and techniques.

Day 1: In pairs, participants will make glazes from scratch, and then create line, cross and triaxial blends.
Day 2: consists of seminars on developing stable, durable glazes, glaze costing and glaze journalling followed by analysis of the +400 test tiles from Day 1.
Having full access to the other participant’s recipes and fired results will form the basis of your glaze library.

This workshop is suitable for beginners/intermediate clay workers looking to expand their knowledge and skills in ceramic glaze testing.

Pot and Sip: Tea Lighthouse Ceramic Workshop

Join me on Friday 18th October at the Kumeū Arts for some clay fun making beautiful Ceramic Tea Light Houses.

I will guide you through the process of planning and hand building your own house.

Your work will then be glazed white, fired and returned to Kumeū Arts in plenty of time for you to enjoy your creation during the festive season.

Please feel free to BYO drink to enjoy while you pot.

The cost is $85 per guest and includes all materials and equipment, glazing and firing.

Paint my Pet - Paint and Sip evenings
