Looking for something creative and meaningful these school holidays? Our Creative Matters Holiday Programme offers a calm and inspiring environment for kids to explore their creativity through art, storytelling, and design.

To ensure creative opportunities at Kumeu Arts are accessible for low-income families, we are now offering a couple of places on the 8-week Kumeū Children's Art Club at a subsidised rate. (Not means tested)

8-week class for $207 (including gst)

Term Four dates: October 
Thursday 

Thursdays 3:30pm - 5:30pm

The Kumeū Children's Art Club nurtures a culture of peace and creativity through self-expression.  With tutor Holly Manning, each term students will explore a range of mediums in this fun, safe and caring environment.

Term 4 we will be working with clay!
We have the opportunity to make a kiln baked tile thanks to the gallery, and experiment with tactile projects getting our hands dirty.
We will play with new skills and be able to use our painting and drawing skills to make art we are all proud of.

No experience needed, we’re here to learn and play. All skill levels are catered for.

If you are looking for a painting class that covers the basics on how to paint landscapes, still life and much more using simple techniques, join us. We will explore the use of acrylic and water colour paints as well as pastels to bring your creation to life.

SEEN is a teen-friendly creative space for exploring Art and well-being.
We'll use various art forms, including zines, collages, and multimedia to tell our stories and make sense of the world.
You do not need to consider yourself 'good at art' to enjoy this course

A six-week Pottery class for teenagers 13-16years old

All clay and glazes are included.​
Come along and learn how to make your own creations out of clay.
​Over 6-weeks Louise Wild teaches a variety of hand building techniques from start to finish with clay, as well as basic glazing skills.

*We recommend purchasing a beginners pottery tool kit for this course. This can be purchased from Kmart, The Warehouse, Gordan Harris etc.
