The following regulations refer to our 'public spaces' galleries and shop:

Additional Terms & Conditions of Hire - below regulations for our 'private spaces' venue hirers, groups and classes)
Health – If anyone is unwell in your group with fever, sore throat, runny nose or difficulty breathing, they are to stay at home or go home immediately and seek medical advice. If participants are uncertain whether or not to attend your activity in regard to their health, they should ring their GP or call Healthline on 0800 358 5453
Hygiene – As people enter the building, please ask them to use the hand sanitiser that will be at the entrances. Every participant is to wipe down their own ‘workstation’ e.g., desk, chair legs, after use with the cleaning items we provide in each room.
Vaccines - It is no longer a requirement from our lease holder, Auckland Council for participants to have a Vaccine Passport
Booking Time – Hirers and venue hire users will only use the room allocated to them for the time agreed with the manager. Participants should wait outside until their activity or class starts and should not wait for their class in any of the other workrooms. We will try to ensure a 30-minute window to minimalize the risk of classes crossing over.
Kitchen – The kitchen areas are only to be used by staff at RED and ORANGE. Ask your attendees to bring their own water, hot drinks and eat food in the outside area. At GREEN, they are open to all participants.
Visitors or other members of the public are not allowed to come into your workroom. Only attendees and participants enrolled in your class or activity can enter. If any members of the public enter please tell them that it is a ‘private’ space. Signs will be put up to notify the public of this.
Using the designated entrances. To minimalize any risk of cross contamination please ask your participants, or group to use the correct entrance (and only that entrance) when they enter and leave the building. Refer to ‘Entrances’ diagram provided. If they wish to visit the gallery they must come in through the gallery door and re-scan in. Tutors and venue hirers will open and shut the relevant doorways prior to their activities. Ventilation – As much as possible try to ventilate rooms and keep doorways and windows open. You may also use the outdoor benches (if not being used by other groups). Umbrellas can be made available.
SPECIFIC TRAFFIC LIGHT FRAMEWORK GUIDELINES
At Red and Orange – The following Additional Rules apply:
Masks – Are mandatory in ‘public facilities’ such as Kumeu Arts at Red and Orange
Social Distancing –room capacity will be based on a 1-Metre apart rule. Please maintain social distancing rules of having a 1-metre space around all persons at all times. Ensure you can manage this in the room you have hired by not accepting too many participants. Depending on the activity the following capacity is recommended, as a guideline: The Pod workroom can hold a maximum of 8 people (including tutor) The Upstairs workroom can hold a Maximum of 13 (including tutor) The Downstairs workroom can hold a maximum of 25 (including tutor) #Note – this is for classes/workshops/groups and includes furniture – concerts and ‘events’ may differ – refer to ‘Event settings’.
A classroom layout will be on display. If you move the layout of the tables you must use the 1-metre apart rule and return them to the original layout after your activity.
Cases of Covid 19 – If you become aware of any person on your ‘register/roll’ contracting Covid-19 who may have visited the Arts Centre please alert the manager by telephone on: 0224769232
Children’s Classes Parents please drop off your children outside Mask wearing by all onsite from years 4+ is recommended Frequent hand washing / sanitising work spaces and equipment. At every food break.
