Pinch Pot Workshop – Creatures & Critters

10am-12pm Ages 7 - 13 years Main Workroom at Kumeu Arts Cost: $50 This price includes all materials and equipment, bisque firing, glazing in your chosen colour and glaze firing. Join this exciting Pottery Workshop designed for budding artists aged 7-13 years. We will delve into their creativity, while learning fundamental pottery techniques. In this hands-on class, children explore the art of crafting a creature or critter themed pinch pot bowl inspired by their favorite pet or entirely of their own imagination. TERM TIME CLASSES
Making Space - two session workshops for ages 6-12years

Thursday's 12:15pm-2pm
Ages 6-12years old Cost: $40 for 2 sessions. Includes all materials. Making Space is a place for children aged 5-12 to participate in the visual arts. These workshops will support and strengthen children's visual language, creative thinking and making skills. Together we will look at original works of art in the gallery, openly explore materials and artmaking techniques, and experiment with ways of expressing our ideas. Workshop 1: FEBRUARY Natural Pigment Painting Thursday 15th and 22nd February Explore the colourful possibilities of paint making! Using earth and plant pigments we will experiment with mixing colours that connect us to our special places. Workshop 2: MARCH Weaving Identities Thursday 14th and 21st of March Using yarn and fabric we will wrap, weave and wind our way into creating sculptures that reflect our personalities and interests. Teen 4-week Pottery Class - Term Four
With tutor Lousie Wild
A four-week Pottery class specifically for teens. Ages 13-16years old Friday's 4:30pm-6pm Start date: Friday 20th of October - Ends Friday 10th of November. Cost: $120.75 (including gst) All materials are included. Have fun creating your own functional and decorative clay artwork in a relaxed environment. In this 4-week class, tutor Louise Wild, will teach a variety of hand building techniques with clay, as well as basic glazing. Clay and glazes are included in the price. BOOKING LINK |
The Art Garden - Term Four 2023
For Children ages 2 to 6 years old
Every Thursday for 8 weeks, starting on the 19th of October 2023 The Art Garden is a fun, supportive and curiosity driven place, where children and adults will embark on creative adventures together. Each week we will look at works of art, explore different materials and techniques and grow our capacity for creativity. This is a side-by-side art experience for preschooler's and their chosen adult. Spaces are limited to 10 families. With a maximum of 2 children per adult. Costs includes all materials. $24 per term (8x45min sessions) Second child: $18 Babes in arms are free. NB. GST is now calculated and added at the checkout. With tutor Holly Manning, each term students will explore a range of mediums in this fun, safe and caring environment.
