NEW COURSE! STARTING 2024
With artist and tutor Brie Rate Term 1, 2024 times/dates TBC $295 for 8 weeks - including all materials Max 8 participants. This is an 8 week crash course of print techniques with ecology at its core, that will challenge participants to look closer at the world around them. Making use of accessible and repurposed material, learn how to make paper by hand, collagraph with found material, reuse packaging for etching and relief print using recycled wood. Designed as a kickstarter of ideas for resourceful makers, an intro for beginner printmakers, and a sustainable approach for those who have printed before - all students are welcome. Towards the end of the course students will be encouraged to commence further experimentation or a project of their choosing with feedback and guidance. Melissa Mead Ceramics Course

Explore ceramic Handbuilding including slab, coil, and pinch to create and explore with clay. Learn the language of clay, slips, and glaze. Come and enjoy a friendly relaxed atmosphere where you can learn to paint. With 8-12 students per class, this course is for beginners and beyond. Wednesday: 9.30 -11.30am / 12 – 3pm / 3.15 – 6.15pm Thursday: 5 -7pm 2hr classes $260 for 10 consecutive weeks 3hr classes $300 for 10 consecutive weeks Over the 10 weeks, if you miss a class, you can do a makeup in any of the other classes available within the same 10-week period. *Causal classes are not available for Amber Emm's painting courses. Life Figure Drawing Practice

Mondays from 7:30-9pm Block Three starts 24th July 2023 31st July - 21st August (4-week class) Open to all levels. Cost: $140 (includes model fees) Join us for a weekly guided (optional) life figure drawing class, observing and rendering the nature of human figure. Learn at your own pace, all levels of experience and expression are welcome. Starting with short poses focusing on the direction of energy through the body and progressing to longer, more studied drawings. Working in both, rendering the whole figure, and zooming in onto its parts - feet, hands, shoulders-upper arm etc. Bring with you: - A2 support board of your choice - A2 newsprint pad or packing papers - charcoal, white pastel, drawing pencils, kneaded eraser, dry rag or other media you like to use.
