Starters Sewing for Absolute beginners: 4-week course
with Michelle Rocard

4-week course starting on Sunday 28th July
Sundays 9:30am-12:30pm

Cost: $150 per person 


Learn how to navigate your sewing machine setting you up for sewing success!

Over 4 weeks, you will be learning how to sew straight, curved, and corners with confidence, while you are completing
 3 projects:
1. Drawstring bag
2. Fabric bowl
3. Carry-all tote bag

Included in the cost – Patterns are provided for all projects and f
abrics are provided for the first project. 
Pins, rulers, iron, and dressmakers’ scissors are also available to use over the course.

What to bring:
  • A working sewing machine
  • Cotton thread
  • Spare needles for your machine
  • Glasses if your eyesight isn’t up to threading a needle.
​There is a limited amount of sewing machines are available to use if you don’t have one.

About Michelle:
Michelle Rocard – Sewist, creator, teacher - turning waste fabrics into wearable treasures.

I am passionate about teaching people to become confident sewists and passing on my knowledge gained over the last 40 years. I worked in the thriving clothing industry of the eighties then moved into bridal, one-off design, and have taught students ranging from 9 years of age to late 70’s privately in their own homes. My hands are never idle.
