Each powerful image in this series focuses on a unique custom and tradition as Carly explores her own identity and embraces her roots. Carly of Te Arawa ancestry has produced powerful and evocative imagery, firmly placed in both classical and contemporary photographic practices which highlights Maoridom to glorious effect. Dana Dadi - Recent works July 1st - 20th July After her popular show in 2017 the prolific painter Dana Dadi returns to Kumeu Arts Centre. She displays a collection of works in the POD gallery. Dana, who has a background in graphic design, photography and painting produces bold, colourful and playful imagery combining contemporary colours with traditional elements, line and motifs.
